Our Parent Support Specialists are generally the first contact with Weinfeld Education Group. Their primary function is to help families feel comfortable in understanding the intake process and the next steps. Parent Support Specialists have a personal connection to our special needs community, most often through first hand family experiences. WEG may make referrals and recommendations outside of our group for parents who are requesting certain types of therapies. Although we do not accept insurance, families may qualify for a reduced rate for our advocacy services based on a review of financial need. We look forward to working with you and your child! Our Process The intake process starts with a phone call with you so we can learn more about your concerns and needs for your child. During the intake process, we will inquire about your child's educational, psychological testing, and medical history. WEG’s Executive Director, or other WEG representative, will schedule a followup conversation to get more detailed information. The follow up conversation will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes. An advocate and/or assessor is specifically chosen for you based on a variety of variables such as location and your child's educational needs. WEG Services will begin after the Intake Paperwork and a contract is received by WEG. |
